At Haymond Law Firm, we’ve always believed that our clients are more than case files, claim numbers, or settlements. They are real people with families, milestones, and lives that continue long after the legal fight is over.
That belief is why—over 30 years ago—Attorney John Haymond began a small but meaningful tradition: sending birthday cards to former clients, every single year, to remind them that we’re still here, we still care, and we still celebrate another year of their life.
Recently, that tradition came full circle in a way none of us will forget.
A Card From 1997—and 27 Years Later
Earlier this month, Attorney Haymond opened an envelope that stood out from the usual stack of mail. Inside was a handwritten card from a former client—someone we represented back in 1997 after a devastating accident that changed his life.
The message was simple, heartfelt, and powerful:
“John, I just wanted to thank you. Every year since my accident in ’97, you’ve sent me a birthday card. When I was at my lowest, those cards reminded me I was still here. I don’t know if you send them yourself or if someone in the office does it, but I want you to know they matter. Thank you for not forgetting about me.”
For Attorney Haymond, that card meant everything. Because it wasn’t about legal victories, or settlement figures, or courtroom strategy—it was about a client who felt seen, remembered, and valued nearly three decades later.
That’s the part of this work you won’t find on a billboard or in a commercial.
Why We Send Birthday Cards
If you’ve ever received one, you know they aren’t flashy or promotional. They don’t include ads, coupons, or reminders to “call us again.” They simply say:
We remember you.
We’re glad you’re here.
And we celebrate another year with you.
Because at Haymond Law Firm, our job doesn’t end when the case closes. We make sure you’re taken care of during your case—and after. We make sure you get compensated for what life brings next, and we don’t stop caring just because the paperwork is finished.
Our birthday card tradition is our way of saying:
✔ You survived something hard.
✔ Your life kept moving forward.
✔ And we are honored to have been part of your journey.
More Than a Law Firm, a Lifelong Connection
Not every client will write back, and we never expect them to. But when they do, like the client from 1997, it reminds us why we do the things we do.
We don’t just fight for compensation—we fight for stability, dignity, and the life that comes after the accident.
So if you’re reading this and you’ve received a birthday card from us, know this:
It wasn’t automated.
It wasn’t forgotten.
And it wasn’t just about your case.
It was our way of celebrating you.
Happy Birthday—from All of Us at Haymond Law Firm
To every former client who has placed their trust in our hands, we say:
Happy Birthday.
We’re still here.
We still remember you.
And we celebrate another year of you living.
Because at Haymond Law Firm, you’re not just a case for today—
you’re part of our family for life.
